The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority has granted full planning permission for the redevelopment of Chapel House Farm, Crosby Garrett, marking an important step forward for the future of this historic rural site. The approved scheme will replace existing farm buildings with five sensitively designed 4‑bedroom local‑occupancy homes, secured through a Section 106 agreement to ensure the development directly benefits the local community.

A Carefully Considered Rural Redevelopment

The permission allows the demolition of outdated farm structures and the construction of five new 4‑bedroom dwellings, each designed to reflect the traditional character of the Yorkshire Dales. The homes will be built using natural stone, timber cladding, and high‑quality materials that blend seamlessly with the surrounding conservation landscape.

The development is tightly controlled to protect the area’s heritage, landscape quality, and biodiversity. Conditions attached to the permission ensure that every stage, from site preparation to final finishes, meets the National Park’s high standards.
